The Pergola

The Pergola

Come back in time,
                       where romance lives.

Architecture entwines with romantic enchantment at our heirloom pergola. Nestled in the Estate's garden lawns, the pergola is the perfect place to say "I do."

Harding and Carrie Allen were inspired to build the pergola by a romantic trip to Greece, where they viewed an outdoor theatrical production. They fell in love with the idea, so they built one of their own, and would bring in theatre troupes from New York to perform for their family and friends. This fairytale location now hosts most of our wedding ceremonies, with seating to accommodate all your guests.

If you decide to get married here at the Estate, our wedding consultants will help you with every aspect of your ceremony. We’ll help you find an officiant to perform the ceremony, and classical musicians too, if you need them. We’ll help you customize your processional and recessional walks. We’ll even fluff your train before you go down our blue stone aisle.

The Walled Gardens

The Walled Gardens

In every unfolded flower lies quietly waiting
the essence of first love, which blossoms forth
into the greatest love story ever told.
Garden

Between our grand mansion and the pergola, serenity abounds in our Old World gardens and our vintage English pond. Oriental lilies, roses, lilacs, hydrangeas and wisteria are just some of the fragrant flowers that can be found in our walled gardens. Their brilliant colors are complemented by fluttering butterflies.

Your guests can bask in the gardens' warm sunshine or relax in the shade under our umbrella tables, while enjoying cocktails and our chef's delectable hors d'oeuvres and listening to the soothing sounds of our Fountain in the pond.

An evening photo by the fountain always makes for a lovely memory.

There are many beautiful places on the Estate grounds for memorable photographs, but our lily pond is without question the favorite among them.

When the light fades and the moon and stars appear, the brightly lit fountain decorates the gardens, enhancing your midsummer night's dream!

The Mansion

Upon entering our grand foyer, with its beautifully hand-carved grand staircases and Baccarat chandelier, you will be enchanted with the mansion's warmth and elegance. Its architecture and fine detailing is the work of many Italian craftsmen. It is replete with wood carvings, intricate moldings, ornate ceilings, marble floors, oil paintings and outstanding chandeliers.

The Estate's rooms include a living room with full bar; a formal dining room; an octagonal morning room, lined with imported painted panels that are older than the house; a gourmet kitchen; a gold-leafed music room, home to our player baby grand piano; and, of course, our beautiful Fountain View Ballroom, which opens onto the gardens.

Foyer

The Estate also has six elegantly appointed bedrooms available for you and your wedding guests. All our rooms can be viewed on a tour of the mansion.
